The Never Ending Search for a Treadmill Desk - Part 2

There are hundreds of desks for sale out there so you would think it would be pretty easy to buy a desk to use as a treadmill desk, wouldn't you?  Well, after days and days of looking for a treadmill desk, I'm here to tell you that is not the case.

Most desks are too short.  Even the taller drafting tables and craft tables won't work unless you're really short or you want to hunch waaaaay over.

There are a couple of places that you can buy desks that are adjustable, however all the ones I saw were either really expensive - we're talking around $1500 on average — or were too short or both.  Plus I like wooden desks and all the adjustable desks look similar to this one, which you've got to admit is kind of dull:

So, after spending days looking but not finding a treadmill desk to suit my needs I've decided to build one.  And when I say "I'm going to build one" I mean I'm going to hire someone to build one.  A kid with an erector set and a rubber band could build a better desk than I could.  Wish me luck!
